I couldn't be happier with the job Greg and the Tree Guys team completed. I bought my new home recently. The previous owners had let several trees go over the last decade to where they were falling over, dead, or in a state of decline in between. Greg met with me first to go over what I wanted to have done. He offered different options to find the ones best suited for me. When I had some follow-up questions, he quickly replied. Due to the late fall rainy season, we had to wait for the ground to harden. When the scheduled day arrived, the team arrived promptly at the designated time and began cutting down 3 large arborvitees that were planted to close to the house and bent over almost to the point of uprooting the roots. The only glitch for the day was my own error in contacting renting neighbors to have them move their vehicles. I had gotten approval from the home's owner to use their driveway to gain access to my front yard. Unfortunately, one of the neighbors was traveling abroad and none of the remaining renters had access to the keys. One of the team suggested allowing them to remove one 6-foot panel from my backyard fence that would allow access from the alley. They removed it with surgeon's precision and once the day's work was completed, reattached the 6-foot panel. Besides the 3 arborvitees, they removed a completely dead 40-50' ash tree next to my garden shed, a large 30' mulberry tree, a red bud tree that had split in two and growing horizontally, and also performed clean-up my remaining trees. A white pine towers in front of my house and has three main vertical branches. Besides pruning off broken branches they installed a cabling system to help support their future growth. It was incredible how quickly they worked while also being safe and professional. They were in constant communication throughout the day. The cleanup impressed me as well. My yard looks great and I sleep easier knowing the remaining trees are not at risk of dropping any weak branches on the roof. I had an excellent experience with Tree Guys of Iowa City! There was not a lot of back and forth communication, but I did get all the information I needed. When they arrived on site, they were fast, professional, and cleaned up so well other than the stump (which I asked to remain) there was basically no evidence they had been there!
